This is an intensive five-day workshop that explores the behaviour of glass and new ways to approach glass design and composition. You will study its technical and aesthetic features, its fluidity, deformation, motion and the process of the glass being submerged, causing special effects and creating suggestive movements.

SYSTEM96 (SPECTRUM GLASS and UROBOROS GLASS) will be used to create 3 pieces: a sculpture, a plate and a container.

We will work with dams and refractory materials.

Coldworking methods will also be covered.

$ 975 CAD

5 Day workshop – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day

(all glass, materials, kilns, equipment use AND Lunch included)

50% Deposit due upon registering with remainder due July 6, 2012

Personalized Glass Workshop

Enjoy a personal hands on experience creating your own fused glass plate as a wonderful memory of your Island visit.

Students will learn the essential techniques for making fused glass pieces. This class will walk students step by step and provide them with the necessary information needed to fuse glasses.

Students will be guided in creating a fused glass plate that will be fired and picked up or shipped at a later date.

All Materials Provided For Glass Workshop

Class duration: 3 hours (all tools and materials are provided)

Daily by appointment  subject to availability –  preferably during mornings 9:00 to 12:00.  Evening hours please ask for Availability 

Fee should be paid in advance so as to book the place and the day.

2-6 persons: $90/pp + GST 

1 person : $ 180 + GST

On Rosh Hashanah we dip apples in honey as a symbol of our wish for a sweet year.  23 karat gold was used to calligraphically draw the design of this beautiful piece. Set includes the apple plate, the honey jar and wooden honey dipper.
