One common source of inspiration for my art with glass is the ocean.
Growing up I was only able to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean during my summer vacations in Argentina. Today, at my glass studio in Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada I am next to the same beautiful ocean every day! I love the hues of transparent blue and green and that is why it dominates my art.
Another big part of me that inspires my glass art is my Jewish faith. When I make Judaica fused glass pieces like menorahs, passover plates, Shabbat plates and Shabbat candlesticks, I remember my ancestors and it connects me to them.
Come and visit me in Stratford, PEI, Canada to tour my glass studio, and perhaps take a workshop and make your own piece of fused glass art in the Marcela Rosemberg style!
